Mystery Sunday | Nail Shapes ♥

Hello everyone - as promised, your daily post!
Today's mystery post is about nail shapes, and how to form them on a fake nail or a fake tip.
You might not understand what I mean, but you will soon.

Okay so above is a visual guide of different types of nail shapes - and the names of them.

1. Square
To form a square all you go to do is place the nail file on the top, and scrape within one way. Right to left, right to left, right to left. Make sure the file is steady and straight so you don't end up with an un-ever so-called square shape.

2. Squoval
This shape is actually my favourite and the one I use pretty much all the time. To begin, to make a square shape as stated above. Then, you simple place the file on the corners and curve it. Keep scraping away at the nail until it's your squoval at perfection.

3. Rounded
This shape actually is harder than what it looks. So first you create the squoval, but instead of finishing you keep going, keep rounding it, until you're able to curve the file from one side, to the other. You then form a rounded shape.

4. Oval
Okay so first of all, you make the sides sharp down as a outline. You then curve all of the sharp un-even edges, especially focusing on the top of the nail. Keep curving it until it fits correctly and it should form an oval shape.

5. Almond
To form an almond is not easy. You kind of do what you did with the oval, BUT instead of focusing on the top, only do the top a couple of times. Focus your attention on the sides.

6. Coffin
You pretty much do what you did with the almond. But as we did to the square, use a straight file motion to the top of the nail until you for the coffin shape.

7. Stiletto
Firstly you angle your file tilted inwards at one of the sides, and file away until the top is going inwards in the centre. You then repeat on the other side, again the inwards side at the top of the nail until it meets your earlier formed side. You should find you've created the shape of a stiletto.

Thanks for reading today's post and I hope you enjoyed it, if you didn't don't worry! I post a range of different posts, check out the schedule on the side of the page or in my previous post to see what is on offer. Have a great day ♥
