Nail Polish Tutorial #1 | Marble Tips ♥

Hello guys!
Today's tutorial is a nail polish tutorial.
I decided to do something a little different from your average tutorials, so whilst thinking of designs I could show you I had this image in my head of marble printed nail tips.
My camera currently has no room to take and upload pictures, so I'm going to have to make do with what's already on google. For that I apologize.
Disclaimer: All photos are used from google, none of them are my own.
You will need:
Nail tips
Nail glue
A file
A buffer
Optional* A main base color (if you use a base color, you will also need a base coat)
A black striper
Two to four nail polish colors
Nail clippers/scissors
A toothpick
Tape

Step 1
To begin, grab your nail tips and measure them to your nail. If they are slightly to big, file the sides in one motion until the size is a correct fit to the nail. If the size is too small, grab the size bigger (no matter how much bigger it is) and once again, file the sides until it correctly fits your nail.

Step 2
Secondly, grab your nail glue. This bit could be a bit tricky so make sure an adult is near or supervising. If you turn your tip to the back, there should be a very small dented line. Fill the space below it (the smaller space) with a generous amount of  nail glue, and press it onto the edge of your nail. Hold it like this for around 20 seconds to around a minute depending on how fast the glue is drying. For better results, file your real nail lightly so it does not cause damage. This gives the glue something to grab onto.

Step 3
Thirdly, now you can begin to cut or clip the nail down to required shape and grab the file. You can file the shape you require. I recommend a squoval shape. (Below is a photo of all the shapes and types) Then using the file, gently start from the edge of the tip, and file down to the other edge. If this hurts, you're doing it wrong. You should only be filing the tip, not your actual nail.

Step 4 (Optional)*
Next, this is optional. If you would like to have a base color, grab your base coat and apply this to protect the natural nail. Then, use your choice of color and apply 1-3 coats depending on how vibrent the color is.

Step 5
Grab your tape and get 2 small strips, and put them on your hand and rip it off (not enough to break the skin) This will make it easy to peel off. Please make sure, if you've used a base color, it must be 100% dry. Otherwise the nail polish will be peeled off when the tape is removed. Apply the tape onto the nail, do not cover the tip.

Step 6
This is where your couple of colors and tooth pick comes in handy. Apply a generous amount of polish to the brush and allow it to leak onto the tip. Keep doing this with different colors until the tip is colored. This is where you can get creative. Grab the tooth pick and do little swirls and lines, whatever you want really onto the starting to set nail polish. It needs to be in the process of  setting or the nail polish will just run and fill the marks you make in the polish.

Step 7
Wait for the nail polish to fully dry. Then grab the black striper and fill in the marks where you drew with the tooth pick so it looks more vibrant, and stands out. This is optional* Draw a line along the tape so the tip looks separated from the actual nail. Wait for it to 100& dry.

Step 8
Gently peel the tape off and your design should be complete. Except one thing, the top coat. You need to top coat to seal your design in, give it shine, and make it last longer.

I hope you enjoyed today's tutorial! In future I will be using my own photo's but I hope you can follow it by reading what I've posted! Enjoy, and have a great Sunday.
